Attendance and Reporting

In the event your child is ill or delayed, please call the attendance line-720-561-8902 or the school office-720-561-8900 before 8:15am. Promptly contacting the office will prevent us from disturbing your home or workplace, and keep the absence from being marked as unexcused. As a safety precaution, you will receive a call from the district informing you about your student’s absence. If you know your student will be absent for more than 3 days, please request the “Prearranged Absence Form” at the main office and bring it back prior to the dates of absence.

Vacations and Family Trips

Please plan family vacations and activities when school is not in session. Our school calendar is finalized by the end of each school year for the next school year so that plans may be made with school vacations in mind. If you and your family plan to take a vacation during scheduled school time, please be aware that your student will need to continue to be responsible for the learning that takes place during the time that is missed.

We urge you to stress the importance of regular, prompt attendance. Habits of a lifetime are formed in elementary school and can only benefit your child in future years of education.

Late Arrival

All children arriving after the 8:00 a.m. bell must report to the main office and obtain a pass BEFORE entering the classroom.

Early Release

If you need to pick up your child at a time other than normal dismissal, please stop at the office for assistance. Teachers are not permitted to release students without authorization from the office.

Parent Drop Off

Parents are asked to drop off students in the “Hug & Go” on Bermont Avenue. Parents driving their children should not cross moving traffic to safely arrive at the sidewalk area. From the bus drop off or sidewalk areas, students can safely walk to the playgrounds before school on their own. Please do not drive into the bus circle area in front of the building as this is reserved for school buses only. Between the hours of 7:30-8:30 am and 2:00-3:30pm there will not be parking spaces available in the front of the building. Please request a map from the front office or visit our website for more details.
