    Preschool Teacher
    Half day; Preschool

Educational Background: I earned my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2017. I earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the California State University of Fullerton in 2011.

Experience: My experience began as a paraeducator in California working with Children with Autism in Preschool settings as an ABA therapist for 9 years. I moved to Colorado in 2012 and worked for Imagine! with families and their Children with Autism in their homes and the community as an Autism Interventionist. In 2015 I began in Jefferson County Public Schools as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher.  I am thrilled to be a part of the Boulder Valley School District and Lafayette Elementary school as your PreK teacher!

What year did you start working and what jobs have you performed at Lafayette Elementary? This will be my first year at Lafayette Elementary School and in BVSD

Hobbies & personal interests: I live in Old Town Lafayette and love to take walks around Waneka Lake with my son, Finley and our dog, Toby. I love exploring Boulder and finding new places to take my son and enjoy the fun community activities Lafayette has.

What do you enjoy most about teaching? I love being the first classroom teacher a child learns from and I love that I am teaching those foundational skills that set the stage for all future learning. Preschool is such an important and fun age to work with and it’s exciting to have the 1st school-based opportunity to instill a joy and curiosity to learn and love school.
