    Experience:

I began my teaching journey in January of 2001.  Throughout this journey I have had the pleasure of educating students in grades kindergarten through 3rd.  I have taught in three different Colorado school districts. I taught first grade at Aspen Creek PK-8 for 11 years prior to joining Lafayette Elementary last year as the A.M. and P.M. Kindergarten teacher.  I am thrilled to return to Lafayette this year for the first year of Full-Day Kindergarten!

What year did you start working and what jobs have you performed at Lafayette Elementary?

    2018-2019 - A.M./P.M. Kindergarten Teacher

    2019-2020 - Full-Day Kindergarten Teacher

    Hobbies & personal interests:

I love to spend time with my family, whether it is at home or out on the town.  Some of my favorite outdoor activities are camping, fishing, and riding bikes with my family.  At home I enjoy playing games, sports, reading, and watching movies.

In addition to my passion for teaching, I also have a passion for photography.  I enjoy taking photos of people, nature, and animals.

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

There is no other profession that can compare to teaching!  One of the reasons I love teaching is because I consider myself a life-long learner.  I love that each day offers new challenges and a chance to learn and grow. But, the best part of my job is that I get to work with kids!  Each day is a wonderful adventure filled with magical moments created by kids. I love that I come to work everyday to teach children, and leave every day learning just as much from them as they did from me.
