I completed my BA in Psychology-based Human Relations and Anthropology at Connecticut College in New London, CT. I did my graduate work at the University of Colorado-Boulder in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.
I have been working as a speech-language pathologist for 12 years! I began my career in Early Intervention in New Hampshire for three years. After that, I made the transition to public schools and have enjoyed this setting very much. I have also done some part time work in speech language therapy clinics and skilled nursing facilities but the school setting is where I feel most at home. This is my second year at Lafayette Elementary!
My husband, and our three sons ages 9, 6, and 3 and I love to play outside. Hiking, swimming and biking are our favorite activities. We also like to visit parks, nature centers and museums. When were are not outside, we enjoy reading books, playing and building with legos. On my own, I enjoy reading, running and spending time with friends and family.
I enjoy working with students and helping them to develop communication skills. I like to learn about what my students are interested in and what their strengths are.
